Entrepreneur of the month – Elon Musk on Work Ethics


Elon Musk is the Founder of SpaceX and a co-founder of Zip2, Paypal and Tesla Motors. At Age 44, he is currently the 39th richest person in the US and 15 richest in the tech globally. He quitted his Phd studies at Stanford University to focus on his entrepreneurship journey. He built and sold his first software product, which he named Blaster, at the age of 12 for an estimated $500. His next adventure fetched him $22million from an acquisition of the company (Zip2) he co-started with his brother. This payoff helped paved the way for Elon Musk’s heavy investments into co-founding Paypal, SpaceX and Tesla motors.

Today, he is one of the most powerful people in the world and his main interest lies in transitioning into a sustainable energy economy, which the electric cars will play a very important part in helping to achieve such goals. In the 2mins video below, Elon shares one of his secrets to success, which can be simply traced to his work ethics. He explained why you need to work twice as hard than others in other to achieve results faster than anyone else could and how entrepreneurs can get rid of wishful thinking, which he says is a natural human tendency that can lead to pursuing unrealistic dreams.
